An all inclusive trip is the same Egypt as any other itinerary, arranged so that everything is settled before you land. It suits first-time visitors and anyone who would rather not spend the trip buying tickets, negotiating transport and working out which sites need which pass.
What a package of this kind normally covers
- Accommodation throughout, in Cairo and on the Nile.
- Internal travel between Cairo, Luxor and Aswan.
- All airport and hotel transfers in a private vehicle.
- An Egyptologist guide at the sites.
- Entrance fees to the sites on the itinerary.
- Meals as set out in the itinerary — full board on a Nile cruise, breakfast in the city hotels.
The usual shape of the trip
Cairo first, for Giza, Saqqara and the Grand Egyptian Museum, then south to Luxor for Karnak and the Valley of the Kings, then a Nile cruise to Aswan calling at Edfu and Kom Ombo, and Philae and the High Dam at Aswan. Abu Simbel, the Red Sea and the Western Desert oases are the usual additions if you have longer.
What is never included anywhere
International flights, Egyptian visa fees, personal spending and tipping sit outside every package, ours included. We would rather say so here than surprise you later.
